Are you a master of wit, a connoisseur of humor, and a wizard of words? Do you dream in punchlines and wake up giggling at your own jokes? If so, we want you to join our team as a Comedy Shorts Writer! As we expand our creative endeavors, we're on the lookout for a talented Comedy Writer to join our team and bring the flavor to our short form content. You will collaborate closely with our shorts team including key stakeholders to ensure the branded vision is executed flawlessly. Creative leadership and strategic thinking will be crucial in maintaining the quality of our content and meeting deadlines. Ultimately, this individual will have a passion for film production, a knack for generating unique ideas, and a talent for crafting captivating comedic scripts that resonate on social platforms including TikTok, YouTube and Instagram..

HOW YOULL SPEND YOUR TIME:

• Conceptualizing and writing side-splitting comedy sketches and monologues for our social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, Snapchat
• Developing and maintaining a consistent and unique comedic voice that resonates with our target audience
• Collaborating with the creative team, performers, and crew to bring your comedic vision to life on various short form social platforms
• Staying ahead of current events, pop culture, and social trends to infuse timely humor into your writing
• Pitching and developing fresh, original ideas that push the boundaries of conventional family friendly comedy

WHAT YOU HAVE:

• Proven 3+ years of experience as a writer with a focus on comedy; preferably within the social media space
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen understanding of comedic timing
• A deep love for internet humor, memes, and pop culture references
• Ability to adapt to different comedic styles and tones
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

WHO OVERSEES YOU:

The Writer will report directly to the Vertical Content Manager

WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN:

All the action takes place at our studio in Burbank, CA.

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:

The typical work schedule is part-time 3 days a week, specific times will be discussed during the interview
