Job Description

The Medical Billing Office Manager position is an expert resource to assigned client teams in evaluating and enhancing daily medical billing and office activities. Business Operations Manager's frequently collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Client Service leaders to address client requests and operational needs. This position is responsible for strategically implementing and/or driving those billing-focused procedural and operational requests to fruition.

  • HYBRID SCHEDULE - In this position, the employee will work 2 days consecutive remote from home and 3 days consecutive in-office at our Wyomissing MBMS location.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate a team of billing professionals, to include both internal and external teams, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure optimal resource utilization and operational efficiency.
  • Establish methods and procedures and enforce rules and regulations.
  • Maintain attendance and punctuality information for employees in your department.
  • Identify and develop employee talent, complete employee performance evaluations.
  • Monitor employee productivity through work trackers, and provide feedback, education and coaching.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between teams to ensure alignment and synergy across the organization.
  • Ensure consistent and timely communication, auditing, education and feedback is providing to OS partners and vendors.
  • Look for ways to support outside departments and their expertise, to improve medical billing and office operations.
Project Management:
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Education and Experience:
  • High School diplomas or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of related billing experience OR 1 year in Billing Supervisor or similar role
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Expert knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 codes
  • Must have experience leading medical billing activities
