Material Driver I - Class A/B CDL

If you know anything about the construction business, then you know that getting the right products to the right site on time and safely is the benchmark of success. It is both challenging and rewarding work. We are a distributor of construction materials that supplies roofing, building envelope, and below grade materials. We want folks with great people skills on our team because, in the end – people make all the difference.

We are looking for self-sufficient, motivated CDL Driver for our Tacoma location on 18th Avenue to help us expand our fast-growing business.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
• Inspect truck and/or trailer daily
• Load and unload materials
• Ensure load securement, including the installation of corner boards to protect products while in transport
• Match shipments to sales invoices
• Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency and customer service
• Operate truck safely

Requirements

• Class A or Class B driver’s license
• Clean CVOR abstract
• Passionate about great service & teamwork
• 3+ years driving experience preferred
• Dedicated to safety, on and off the road
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Experience in the construction/roofing business would be an asset
• Ability to drive trucks with a manual transmission
• Able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
