We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced General Superintendent for Natural Gas Distribution to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing operations :Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the gas distribution system, including maintenance, construction, and repair
• Ensuring safety :Preparing, reviewing, and monitoring safety practices, and enforcing safety precautions
• Managing projects :Coordinating construction and repair activities with contractors and property owners
• Improving efficiency :Analyzing operations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the gas distribution system
• Strategic planning :Developing strategic plans for the gas distribution system
• Responding to emergencies :Directing and managing emergency response efforts
• Ensuring compliance :Ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and gas safety regulations
• Managing budgets :Being responsible for the gas operating budget
• Providing technical assistance :Providing technical assistance to gas department personnel
• Communicating :Communicating ongoing natural gas activities
  

Requirements:

- Must live in the area and/or be able to get yourself to and from work daily

- Must be willing to train in our online, Operator Qualification (OQ) Program, on your own time and by the deadline set, to meet federal regulations to provide underground utilities

- Must have a minimum of 15 years experience in Natural Gas Distribution and Utilities

- Must provide references for previous and proven leadership

- Pay is negotiable depending on experience

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CDL is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Relevant certifications and licenses are a plus

- There are times when we have to work Saturdays and overtime. This is a requirement of the job

- Must be able to do heavy lifting

- Must pass a drug test and a background check

- Must make a commitment to be at work every day, be dependable, and reliable
